Next week Apple is going to announce their 3rd Quarter earnings. This time of year is usually particularly slow for computer sales, and with the iPhone being so highly anticipated, it is very likely that iPod sales suffered this quarter.
It is also worth noting that the iPhone sales from June will probably not have a huge effect on the earnings numbers as Apple plans to report the iPhones sales over a 24 month period.
In most cases, unless Apple highly exceeds expectations, you can expect Apple stock to go down shortly after the financials are announced.
