I tried out the 'hacks' outlined in the docs that came with this widget on my Intel Mac Mini, and now I have safe sleep enabled on it so I never have to worry about power outages while my Mac is sleeping. The widget is great when I want similar functionality to hibernate on my PC. I would bet that the hacks work on other Macs as well.
