1984 Macintosh Lighted Sign sells for $1,000 on Ebay

This rare lighted Macintosh sign from 1984 sold on Ebay for $1,000 bucks.

Apparently there were only 1,000 of these bad boys ever made.

The design features a Picasso-like drawing of a Mac carved into the glass, with color accents filling in the indentions.

I’d like to have one myself…

…but not for $1,000

Sounds like a good DIY project idea for MAKE magazine.

I’d rather a new age glowing Apple logo. I’d buy that, and yea def for not 1000.
