The folks down at Cupertino are very happy today I’d bet. Apple just issued a press release stating that they have sold 2 million copies of Leopard in the first weekend of the operating system’s release. This far out paces the sales of Tiger, and should easily lead Leopard to being the biggest OS release in Apple’s history.
“Early indications are that Leopard will be a huge hit with customers,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “Leopard’s innovative features are getting great reviews and making more people than ever think about switching to the Mac.”

That is very impressive!
I have to wonder how many were up-to-date copies. I bought my MBP about 2 weeks ago and took advantage of the up to date $9.99 price. I have yet to install Leopard (even though I have had it for 2 days now).
I ordered an external Hard Drive so I could use it with Time Machine. I had it overnighted so it should be here today. I wanted to back up my current files with Super Duper before upgrading to Leopard.
