Apple releases some 3rd Party iPhone Browser Apps

Apple’s confusing App Store policies never cease to amaze. Now they’ve decided to allow some new web browsing apps into the App Store.

Of course, it’s not a mobile version of Firefox or Opera that many of us would like to see. Instead, it’s four different browser apps that have various usefulness.

1) Edge Browser – this App allows you to view a web page without any navigation or address bars…but you have to go into your system settings to change the URL – making it virtually useless for browsing in any way, shape or form.

2) Incognito – This browser will allow you to surf the web without leaving a history of any kind. It’s $1.99

3) WebMate: Tabbed Browser will set you back $0.99 and queues up the links you click on behind your current window allowing you to view them later, without leaving the page your on.

4) Shaking Web is the final app which is priced at $1.99 and somehow claims to compensate for small hand shaking to make it easier to read. Not sure about that one.

You would think that if Apple was going to allow all browser Apps into the store that they would have allowed Opera in at the same time – so it’s not clear (is it ever?) what exactly Apple is an isn’t allowing.
