    Sorry for any confusion…the answer is yes and no. Legally, Apple and Orange are not allowed to have a phone locked into a contract in France without their being an unlocked version that also exists.

    As a result, it’s inevitable that the iPhone will be unlocked in France.

  2. In that case, what would prevent those unlocked phones being distributed (illegally of course) all over the world from France?
