The control could have been better. Imagine placing your finger on the pause button, and sliding it (with a spring loaded return) to + for next track, or to - for the previous track. Holding the pause button should still pause it. The voice over is unnecessary.

How about a redesign in ear phone technology? The iPods are small enough. I don't want someone accidentally swallowing one of these.

i think it's crap. what's the point in making it even smaller than it was before? so i can lose it easier? surely, weight can't be the answer. it doesn't seem very intuitive to use, either. one button with four different functions? come on apple, you should really know better than that!

i also think it's too expensive for what it offers. there are way better 4 gig players out there (with a display and, you know, buttons) that still fit into small pockets or can be clipped to your jacket or whatever. what's even worse, you can't use your own cans with it, unless there is or will be a separate remote to buy. for more money.

this thing really disappoints me. it's nice it's so small, but it really doesn't NEED to be. the old size was just fine, why shrink it even further and compromise on useful features for that? just so apple can say "because we can"? i'll pass.
