I have been thinking the same thing. The iPad would be huge in the auto aftermarket if someone could come up with an industry standard for installation into vehicles. You would have everything at your fingertips: web, email, movies, YouTube, music, navigation, Google Maps, vertical apps for the auto market, etc. The possibilities are endless. And having a large screen would make usability much better than a small iPod Touch. Someone needs to get some sort of panel for iPad fitment underway so we can take advantage of this device in our cars/trucks. I think it could revolutionize the auto entertainment aftermarket.
