Want an iPhone 3GS? Get One Cheap at Walmart

Quick story: I’m a video game guy, and I’m a huge fan of anything with Mario in it. Super Mario Galaxy 2 came out this weekend, and both myself and my wife were ecstatic to get it. Because of that, I went to Walmart at midnight to purchase the game.

I’m sure that the last thing the service staff at Walmart expected when they saw a 6’1 white guy with a shaved head and lots of tattoos at midnight was that he’d want a copy of a Nintendo game. Yet there I was, and I even had to fight a bit to get it. After I checked out, the checker said to me, “You have fun playing video games tonight, sir.” It was at that moment I felt very, very ashamed.

Then I got over it and played the game for a few hours.

If you haven’t bought an iPhone yet, and you have no plans to buy the next one when it comes out this summer, then does Walmart have a deal for you. Starting today, you can get a 16GB iPhone 3GS for $97 with a 2-year contract with AT&T. That’s a pretty amazing deal considering, and you only have to spend an hour or so of your time dealing with people from Walmart.

Just one suggestion: Don’t go at midnight.
