MLB.com At Bat the Essential Baseball App



Time to get ready for the 2010 baseball season! The premier way to follow the game is with the free “MLB.com At Bat” application for the iPhone.

“At Bat” features constant league and team news articles, videos, stats and highlights; the source of the innumerable amount of in-depth coverage is MLB.com itself. Simply put: this App is a must download for any baseball fan around the globe!

Upon opening the “At Bat” the latest news stories steps up to the plate and are beautifully depicted on the screen with a cover picture to the left and the headlines to the right in order of most recent to least recent. There is even a spot in the App that reveals past and present standings at any easy touch.

Scrolling down brings up a photo of an enraged Johan Santana next to the title: “Johan believes he’s the beast of the NL East.” This article is also atop the list of the New York Mets page in “At Bat.” By going to settings the baseball fan can choose their favorite team, which then appears atop the alphabetical listing of all the teams, and each team designation has a link to the team’s official website.

The Mets currently feature a picture of David Wright sticking his tongue out, as if to taunt the loyal fan-base that has suffered through many tumultuous seasons. The App’s video section provides full-scale clips of game highlights and interviews with Major League Baseball players and personnel.
