Meet the Zero G Case, AKA Spiderman iPhone Case

We’ve seen our fair share of weird – and some ugly – iPhone cases, but there are a lot of good ones, too.

The Zero G case is something we ran across today on Kickstarter, and it does have some potential.

Also dubbed the Spiderman iPhone case, the Zero G case stands out because of its use of nano-suction to stick to flat, smooth surfaces; well, most of them.

While a comment of the makers of the case turns me off (“Hands free selfies and much more.”), the idea of being able to use your iPhone totally hands-free without the need for separate mounts is appealing.

Forget selfies.

Think about the following applications.

No more groping around in the dark for your phone when the alarm goes off. Just stick it to the wall or headboard, and you know where to find it.

Stick your iPhone to the wall and follow recipe instructions easily.

This one’s a little sexist, but you get the gist.

The Zero G iPhone case is supposed to stick to “glass, tile, stainless steel, mirrors, countertops, white boards, computer screens, windows, and even some walls.”

I’m sure you’re thinking about some important details, like how thick is this case? It adds only 3mm, so it’s not that bad. Unless you really want your phone to be as slim as possible even with a case, this shouldn’t be much of an issue.

How about cleaning? It just needs water for cleaning, and is supposed to be self-healing as well.

Too good to be true? Perhaps, but take a look at their explainer video and decide.

So what do you think, will you back the Zero G iPhone case? Take a look at their Kickstarter page for more info.

  1. My husband is the inventor and I had a chance to use the Zero G Anti-Gravity Case for two weeks last month. I have to admit, I was skeptical. I thought for sure that the sticky surface would be picking up lint and hair in my purse where my iPhone inevitably ends up. I was totally impressed by how little “stuff” it did pick up. It cleans so easily too if needed. Just wipe it off once on your pant leg and you’re done!

And the “lint factor” aside – this phone so helpful to have on a day to day basis. I used it literally everywhere in the house. The bedroom on the headboard as a alarm, the kitchen using it for recipes or watching Netflix, and even the bathroom while getting ready in the morning to listen to podcasts or watch the news. It takes selfie-creativity to the next level. It’s SO fun to have while you’re out and about. AND BOY, does it stick. It’s amazing how strongly it adheres to smooth surfaces. You can always rely on the hold with all the recommended surfaces as long as the nano-suction is clean. It’s so simple and useful–it’s one of Carl’s best ideas yet. Love you babe!

  2. Very nice review! I put in my order on Kickstarter and look forward to having the Zero G case. I just checked and the project is now 92% funded (with 26 days to go), so it looks like a done deal.

I hate to admit it, but I’m thinking the hands-free selfie feature is what I’m most excited about.
