iPhone SDK delayed – “Roadmap” special event to be held on March 6th

Apple today sent out an invitation to reporters inviting them to a special event where they will ” learn about the iPhone software roadmap, including the iPhone SDK and some exciting new enterprise features”.

The event will take place at 10am Pacific time at Apple’s Cupertino campus on Thursday March 6th.

The iPhone SDK was supposed to launch in Feb – but that is officially not happening now.

One thing that should be noted, however, is that the wording on this invitation is a bit…sketchy. It doesn’t confirm that the SDK will be arriving next week, in fact, the wording makes me think that we won’t be seeing it available at this event. I think we’re still looking at that 3 week or more delay before we actually see it.

As always, we’ll have live coverage of the special event right here.

thanks to everyone who sent this in.
