Infinite Loop seems to have forgotten that Apple is a “for profit” company and not a charity and it complaining about the profit margins of the iPhone. With their insistence on continuing to complain about the price, my only conclusion is that the writer hasn’t used the thing, or just really want one and can’t afford it…because, as far as I’m concerned, this thing is a bargain at $599.

I hate using Michael’s blog as a rant, but it kills me when people bitch and moan about how much money a company is making on a product, especially Apple. I don’t think it’s anyone’s business. Some people think if you make more than a dollar over cost (exaggeration) you’re ripping off the public. I say those people have never been in business for themselves. I bought 50 genuine iPod headphones at wholesale for $4 each and sold them on eBay for $10 each. Yeh, I made a killing. Rip off? No way, I call 60% profit a very successful business venture.
Apple can charge whatever they want for their products. If you can’t afford them, then don’t complain. I don’t own a BMW because I can’t afford one. I’d love to have one, but I’m not going to complain about how much they cost. Apple sells top-of-the-line, cutting edge, state-of-the-art products. Of course they fetch a premium.
