An App Bookshelf

One of the cool things about the iPhone 4 and iOS4 on the 3GS is the customizable home screen background. This is also a problem, as some backgrounds are more distracting than others, and can detract from the overall clean appearance of the desktop.

Where some people see problems, other people see  opportunities. Jeff Broderick decided that he’d take a different approach to the process, and made his own iOS 4 background. It looks more or less like the bookshelf from iBooks, but made from different wood. Then there are individual app spotlights, making it look like a high-end piece of furniture.

So you want one for your iPhone? Of course you do. Fortunately, it’s free. That’s right, this cool looking wallpaper costs nothing more than a few minutes of your time to download it. What’re you waiting for? Go get it now.
