Radio Shack advertises Jailbroken iPod Touch

Over the weekend an Engadget reader noticed something very, very strange in a Radio Shack circular. Take a close look and I’m sure you’ll get it.

Thats right – that’s a jailbroken iPod Touch complete with Install.app icon and an IM client.

Now, it seems very odd to me that this could have happened on accident – and I’m betting someone is getting fired for it come this morning…but for the rest of us, it’s worth a pretty good chuckle.

  1. In Cyprus this is standard. All the major phone carriers and stores are selling it advertised, as jailbroken, so its as if its officially recognised in Cyprus. They tell us not to update the software via iTunes as it will void the warranty with the store (jailbroken phone will be sim-locked in that case).
