New UK ‘Get a Mac’ Ads

Apple’s UK website have posted new ‘Get a Mac’ ads. “Art Language” is my favorite of the new batch. It’s very british, and they get double points from me for using the term “arty farty”.
I still have a problem with the “Stuffed” commercial…mainly because my Macbook Pro came with a 30 day trial of iWork and Microsoft Office. Is it the same as the bloatware on PCs? Maybe not, but I think it’s extremely stupid to make a commercial centering around the fact that you don’t have trial software on your machine when you do.

I like that the PC guy looks like a Jon Lovits character.

Get rid of these frickin “adverts” Apple! They are cr@p. Just show the damn features of OS X like the iPhone adverts. Get a grip on these ridiculous advertisement campains!

The point of the ad is the PC is “stuffed” PC’s come with a LOT of trial software on it, not just an app here and there. I agree Mac does have them on their machines preloaded, but you can uncheck them if you ever reformat so that they don’t install. PC’s don’t have that luxury.

Guess I like the PC guy in the US commercials a bit better - there is an endearing something in his attitude and demeanor. The UK guys look a bit like the “lager louts” you spot in their pubs.
