Kevin, your entire basis for the iPhone being better than anything Google can produce is that the iPhone will always sell more. Well, that doesn't make it "better". It just means that Apple have a monopoly on the music market.

That being said, the iPhone is a very nice device. The only devices I have come across that I consider to be better than the 3GS are the HTC HD2 and the Nexus One. But considering the 3GS was released 6 months before these 2 models, it's not that surprising.

I hope the NexusOne become the "it" device for trendy people, then we iPhone users can finally use our perfectly-suited-to-our-needs gadgets in peace and won't have to rub elbows with the trend-following riff-raff.

Personally, I'm not too into the Nexus hype, although I do think Apple should be scared of Android. I love my Droid and you would have to kill me before I would go to AT&T and the iPhone. The Nexus One sounds just like another Droid except it looks almost exactly like an iPhone. No thanks.

I'll stick to my boxy Droid and the open source OS and apps.

Love it when my boss calls me from a payphone in NY because his stupid iPhone won't make calls or receive email. Will take ANY phone that actually works like a phone any day over the iPhone!

The Iphone killer is AT&T. If your not in a major city you can forget about using this to its full potential. Even in a major city most people are finding that to actually use the Iphone as a "PHONE" is dam near impossible. People love the Iphone for its use on the web and all the cute little apps, but when you need a phone and your not within a few miles of a tower forget it. I commute to Atlanta daily and tried this phone. AT&T hasn't invested in the supposed infrustruce anywhere except major cities. Same with T-mobile and Sprint. Even when I tried the IPhone I kept my verizon Blackberry service, just in case. Well needless to say I still have my Blackberry. The Iphone is a great device but it may as well be an Itouch if you can't use it as a phone half the time.
