If Prudential Equity Group analyst Jesse Tortora is correct, they just might. According to an Apple Insider report, Tortora stated the following:
“We believe that the video iPod transition from 1.8-inch hard disk drives to NAND flash memory may occur as soon as late 2007,” Tortora wrote. “Our checks indicate that Apple is considering canceling [...]

“Illuminating” hint in WWDC invite?

Posted by: Michael on Feb 8, 2007 | 8 Comments

I received a WWDC invite in my inbox yesterday (apparently even downloading Dashcode is enough to get one). You can see it by clicking on the image to the left. What is really interesting about it is the design of the invitation. It is obviously modeled after Time Machine, a new Leopard feature, but [...]

How Stupid do you have to be to work for the RIAA?

Posted by: Michael on Feb 7, 2007 | 2 Comments

Seriously…this is just hard to understand…
Aparently, the fine folks at the RIAA misread Steve Jobs’ Open Letter “Thoughts on Music” post yesterday. According to Engadget, the RIAA issued a response today stating that Jobs’ offer to license FairPlay was a “welcome breakthrough” that would be a “real victory for fans, artists and labels.”
The [...]

Everyone’s least favorite Star Trek show is now available for download in the iTunes store. Currently, the first season of the show is the only one available, but hopefully additional seasons will become downloadable soon. The 4th season of the show was undoubtedly the best, and I look forward to purchasing it. [...]

Take a look at iSoftPhone

Posted by: Michael on Feb 7, 2007 | 4 Comments

I didn’t actually get a chance to look at this software too closely because to use the trial you have to create a CallCentric user account…and I just didn’t feel like it. [...]
