f.lux for Mac Comes Out With New Version

If you haven’t heard of, or used, f.lux for Mac, it’s about time you did. It’s been around for about five years now, but to be honest, I didn’t start using it till about a year or so ago in spite of repeated recommendations. Ever since I started using the app, I have never even thought of uninstalling it, though.

So what’s all the fuss about f.lux?

You know how your eyes do get tired after staring at the computer screen for hours on end? That’s why it’s highly recommended that you often take a break to take care of your eyes. Well f.lux helps with that by adjusting the brightness of your screen automatically based on the ambient light.

The original f.lux did lots of good for me – I really noticed how my eyes wouldn’t get so strained at the end of the day.

With this new version, albeit a beta version, f.lux is supposed to be even better, with more settings you can tweak so that the brightness of your screen is even fitter for you surroundings. Just a few things that make it noteworthy:

  1. f.lux adjusts to your actual day, not just sunrise and sunset.
  2. It looks nice, showing you a visualization of your day.
  3. There are tons of new effects and adjustments.

Words really can’t show you just how this app can help you work – and feel – better. So why not download the new f.lux now?
