Starbucks/Apple Tag Team Officially Rolls out Today

Yesterday was the launch of the Starbucks/Apple partnership in NYC. Starbucks CEO Howard Shultz was there, along with Apple iTunes VP Eddy Cue and musical guest John Legend. It was a big deal. I know you’re sorry you missed it.

Today, however, is the official launch of the partnership in more than 600 stores in New York and Seattle. (The fact that there are 600 Starbucks in those two cities put together makes me uncomfortable.) So, if you live near one of these 600 stores, stop by, check it out, and let us know what you think about the experience in the comments below.

I’m pretty sure it’s going to be just like downloading a song in iTunes…but you’ll have, or be near, over priced coffee when you do it. 😛

  1. Overpriced? perhaps… but defiantly worth it. I can’t start my morning without my tall coffee.

as for this partnership… I really don’t think it’s that big of a deal. The irony is that most of the time when I’m in starbucks I’ve got headphones on listening to my iTunes and not even paying attention to what’s on the radio.

  2. Tried it out today, works like a charm. it does however put an icon along the bottom of the iTunes Wi-Fi store directing you to whats on the speakers in Starbucks currently. Also while I did get todays free song Joker by Dylan, I didn’t see anyway to put that code in and dl it over the iTS from my iPhone.

Just go into starbucks, select their T-Mobile network and BAM! your there baby.
