Nielsen Online reports Apple is 10th most recognized online brand

Nielsen Online, an off-shoot of the television ratings provider, tracks Top 10 online brands each and every month. “Apple Computer” finished in the 10th place position for the month of July according to MacNN. The research firm says that 51.7 million unique users visited Apple-owned websites or used Apple software in the month of July. That’s up from the 49.9 Million that they reported had done the same in June.

It should come as no surprise that Google came in at the #1 spot on the almost ridiculously detailed chart. The Nielsen numbers also tell us that on average each person visited the Internet 59 times in July, viewing 2,431 web pages. Those same users spent an average of 50 seconds per page, and a total of almost 68 hours on their computers.

That’s a lot of computer time…and a lot of time spent on Apple sites, too.
